An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages.  A sense of virtual community often develops around forums that have regular users.  A virtual community is a social network of individuals who connect through specific social media, potentially crossing geographical and political boundaries in order to pursue mutual interests or goals.

Timeline

• 2008-05-26 the LCCS Ohio Forum was built.  It used the SMF forum.
  
• 2021-02-05 it went offline due to hosting changes.  It ran for 12 years, 8 months, 10 days.
  
• 2022-02-05 Relaunching ONE YEAR later using MyBB.
